Dear Joleen,

How many times can I watch the slide show before I should feel really guilty about it? I have been sitting here on my couch experiencing so many emotions – all good – as I’ve looked through these photos over and over again. Your photos have touched a deep part of my being in a very profound and unexpected way. I simply can not thank you enough for taking a chance on me. It is so far beyond what I expected that I simply am speechless. Oh! And Katie did an amazing job on my hair! She will be my stylist. It’s hard to believe she took a wig, some extensions and was able to make my hair look natural. I will make you one promise right now. When I’ve finished my journey, I promise that I will make a second appointment and do the full experience. You rock!

Dear Joleen,

The album is GORGEOUS!!!  THANK YOU  You sure did take care of every little detail… it even came in a box, tied with a bow.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!  It is even more difficult to keep it a secret now that I actually have it, but don’t worry, I will.  I am so excited to give it to John, he is going to love it. It has been such a pleasure working with you.  I can’t wait until our next girlfriend gets married so we can come back for another bachelorette party!

Honestly, I was very apprehensive about getting my photos taken. I would not consider myself “that type of girl”—not usually wanting to be the center of attention. I went ahead with the session because I felt like this is something I should do while I’m still young, since we only live once! Looking back, I have no idea what I was so nervous about! It was a blast! Joleen made me feel comfortable the minute I walked in and as the nerves melted away, I just had so much fun with the camera.  Joleen had a lot of great ideas for some creative, beautiful shots. When I got the prints back I couldn’t even believe it was me! I think I really learned to love my body that day, and for the first time in a while I felt truly beautiful. Thank you so much for that experience!
